Current Projects

Roots of Change
For the past 2 years we have been in production on Roots of Change: Wangari Maathai and the Green Belt Movement - retitled Taking Root: The Vision of Wangari Maathai. This project has taken us to Kenya on four filming trips totaling over 75 days on location. We also filmed Wangari in Oslo, Norway as she received the Nobel Peace Prize. (Read more at Taking Root)

Birth of Innocence
In 2005 Alan acted as the Director of Photography on a Super-16 feature film. "Birth of Innocence", by the Vermont Director, Mac Parker. It will be released in the near future.

Wolf Kahn at Niagara Falls
A new production with Wolf Kahn was completed in 2006. In this film we accompany Wolf to Niagara Falls as he creates pastels of the Falls from the same vantage point that Frederick Church painted his famous painting, Niagara Falls. As Wolf sketches he discusses the similarities and differences between his approach as a modern landscape painter and that of the 19th century landscape painters. Available on DVD
